Warranty information

A plain-language summary based on the Honest Water Co Warranty Statement and manufacturer component warranty information. Your written warranty and product documentation contain the full terms.

A. Honest Water Co Warranty

CleanHaus warranty information is summarized from the Honest Water Co Warranty Statement and manufacturer component warranty documentation supplied for the equipment. Coverage is for the original purchaser and is not an unlimited blanket lifetime warranty on the complete system.

Honest Water Co warranty applies to the original purchaser. Coverage levels are:

  • Lifetime — system dry parts: Honest Water Co lifetime coverage applies to qualifying system dry parts: mechanical, non-consumable components that do not directly contact water.
  • 5 years — control valve, circuit board and filtration media: Honest Water Co warranty terms provide 5-year coverage for the control valve, circuit board and filtration media under normal use and conditions.
  • 1 year — labour: Labour related to the original installation is covered for 1 year from purchase under the Honest Water Co warranty terms.

This coverage is valid only when the system is installed, operated and maintained according to Honest Water Co guidelines. Replacement parts or services do not extend or reset the original warranty period.

B. Manufacturer Component Warranty

Manufacturer component warranty coverage applies to specific components for defects under normal use and conditions. Current summary examples are:

  • Control valves: 5 years.
  • Storage tanks: Lifetime.
  • Media tanks: Lifetime.
  • Ceramic discs (rotary valves): Lifetime.
  • Reverse osmosis systems: 1 year.
  • Filtration media: 5 years.

Manufacturer component warranty examples include the periods listed here. Replacement parts are covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period and must be installed by an Honest Water Co-approved technician. Labour for component replacement is not included. Claims require valid proof of purchase, installation documentation and a return authorization number issued by Honest Water Co where applicable.

C. Conditions & exclusions

Coverage depends on proper installation, operation and maintenance. Conditions, limitations and exclusions include:

  • Improper installation, misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents or unauthorized repairs.
  • Unauthorized modifications to the equipment or installation.
  • Flooding, freezing, acts of nature or other events beyond normal operating conditions.
  • Excessive contaminant levels or water conditions beyond system specifications, including water conditions that foul filters, resins or membranes.
  • Consumables and routine service items, including salt, filters, membranes, cartridges and other maintenance items, are not implied to be covered.
  • Labour for component replacement is not included unless expressly stated in writing.

Proper installation, operation and maintenance are required. Consumables such as salt, filters and membranes are not covered. Conditions and exclusions include misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, improper installation, unauthorized repairs or modifications, freezing, flooding, acts of nature and water conditions that foul filters, resins or membranes. Replacement parts or services do not extend or reset the original warranty period. Written warranty and product documents control if there is any conflict with this website summary.

D. Maintenance and customer responsibilities

Everyday upkeep is the homeowner’s responsibility. Your written quote and product documentation identify the maintenance requirements for the equipment supplied:

Whole-home system

  • Routine maintenance is mainly keeping salt in the brine tank.
  • We suggest checking the brine tank about every 2–3 months and topping up as needed.
  • Salt usage varies by household, so there is no fixed number of bags.

Reverse osmosis system

  • Filter and membrane replacement schedules depend on the exact reverse-osmosis model installed.
  • We follow the manufacturer guidance that applies to your installed system.
  • Your written quote and product documentation set out the applicable maintenance for your configuration.

Maintenance timing can vary with household usage and incoming water conditions. Claims require proof of purchase and installation documentation.

E. How to make a warranty claim

  • Contact CleanHaus Water at info@cleanhauswater.com or 289-536-8579.
  • Have your name, installation address, installation date and, where possible, your written quote or invoice available as valid proof of purchase.
  • Keep installation documentation available. Manufacturer component claims require a return authorization number issued by Honest Water Co where applicable before parts are returned or processed.
  • Describe the issue and when it started, including any error messages or symptoms.
  • We will review the claim, coordinate with the manufacturer where required, and confirm the next steps with you.

Please report suspected issues promptly. Continuing to operate a system with a known fault can cause further damage that is not covered.

F. Important limitations

Honest Water Co is responsible only for damages or failures resulting from workmanship-related issues and is not responsible for damages caused by manufacturer defects. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Honest Water Co total liability is limited to the original purchase price, and incidental, consequential or indirect damages are excluded.

Nothing in this summary limits any rights you may have that cannot be excluded under applicable Ontario or Canadian consumer protection law.

G. Written documents control

This page is a summary provided for convenience. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between this page and your written warranty, written quote or the manufacturer’s product documentation, those written documents control. Full warranty terms are provided before purchase.
