How CleanHaus Water collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information.
Last updated: September 8, 2026
CleanHaus Water (“CleanHaus”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. CleanHaus Water is a sole proprietorship based in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with our residential water treatment services in Ontario. We follow the principles of Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
1. Information we collect
- Contact and property details you submit through our assessment form: first and last name, phone number, email address and postal code.
- Home water information you provide: homeowner status, water source, existing water-treatment equipment, your primary concern and any notes you add.
- Assessment and service records created during an in-home visit, including on-site screening results, installation notes, quotes and invoices.
- Communications such as emails, text messages and call notes.
- Limited technical data generated automatically when you use this site, such as the timing of a form submission and basic request information used to prevent spam and abuse.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not request financial account numbers, health information or government identifiers through this website.
2. Why we collect it
- To respond to your request and schedule your $50 In-Home Water Assessment, including confirming the appointment and payment details with you before the visit.
- To record the purpose of visit you selected on the form (assessment and written recommendation only, or assessment plus a purchase quote you may choose to act on during the visit), together with the date, time, source page and wording version, so that we have a record of what you specifically requested for the in-home visit.
- To prepare written findings, recommendations and a written quote for your home.
- To perform an installation and provide service or maintenance afterwards.
- To keep records required for warranty, tax and business purposes.
- To protect our website and systems from fraudulent or automated submissions.
3. Consent
We collect, use and disclose personal information with your consent. When you check the required consent box on our form, you authorize CleanHaus to contact you by phone or email about that specific assessment request, including to confirm your appointment and payment details. Submitting the form is a request for an appointment, not a completed booking. The $50 assessment fee is credited in full toward the CleanHaus system if you purchase after the assessment. Any applicable payment or cancellation terms are disclosed to you before payment and before your appointment is confirmed. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at info@cleanhauswater.com or 289-536-8579, or by replying STOP to a text message. Withdrawing consent may prevent us from providing the service you requested, and does not apply to records we must keep for legal, warranty or contractual reasons.
4. SMS/Text Messaging
CleanHaus Water may send SMS/text messages only where you have provided the applicable consent. Our in-home assessment form includes two separate, optional and unchecked text message consent checkboxes — one for marketing messages and one for non-marketing messages. Neither is required to submit the form and neither is a condition of purchase; you may submit the form without selecting either checkbox.
- Marketing text messages cover special offers, discounts and service updates from CleanHaus Water.
- Non-marketing text messages cover your water assessment request, appointment reminders, quotes, installation scheduling and related service notifications.
- Message frequency may vary.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- You can reply STOP to opt out of text messages at any time, and reply HELP for help.
- Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.
- Preliminary field screening carried out during an assessment is not accredited laboratory safety testing and does not certify water as safe or unsafe.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Questions about our text messaging practices can be directed to info@cleanhauswater.com or 289-536-8579.
5. Disclosure and service providers
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only where necessary with:
- employees, installers and subcontractors who need it to complete the assessment, installation or service work;
- service providers that host our website, database and email notifications on our behalf, under obligations of confidentiality;
- equipment suppliers where required to register or honour a manufacturer warranty; and
- authorities or advisors where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
Some service providers may store or process data outside Canada, in which case the information may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
6. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, and for as long as required to meet applicable legal, tax, warranty, accounting, dispute-resolution or contractual obligations. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we securely delete or anonymize it.
7. Safeguards
Personal information is stored in access-controlled systems and transmitted over encrypted connections. Access is limited to people who need it to do their job. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Cookies and analytics
This website always uses the storage necessary to operate and secure the site. That necessary storage remains available whether or not you accept analytics.
We also use Google Analytics 4, but only if you choose “Accept analytics” in our privacy banner. Until you accept, the Google Analytics script is not loaded and no analytics requests are sent. When analytics is accepted, Google Analytics may collect general information such as device and browser type, approximate region, referring source, the pages you view and basic interactions such as page views and clicks on contact or assessment buttons. Google acts as our service provider for this and may process the information outside Canada.
We do not intentionally send the contents of our forms — including names, phone numbers, email addresses, postal codes, water details or notes — to Google Analytics. We do not use Google Ads, advertising cookies, remarketing or social-media trackers on this site.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by selecting “Privacy choices” in the site footer and choosing “Necessary only”. The change takes effect immediately on the page you are viewing.
9. Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccuracies, ask us to delete information we are not required to keep, or withdraw consent to marketing communications. Write to info@cleanhauswater.com and we will respond within thirty (30) days.
10. Contact and complaints
Privacy questions and complaints can be directed to our privacy contact at info@cleanhauswater.com or 289-536-8579. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services change. The revised version takes effect when posted, and the “last updated” date above will change accordingly.
Your use of this website is also governed by our Terms of Use.
