Plain-language note

  • Whole-home treatment and reverse osmosis do different jobs.
  • RO performance depends on the exact model and product documentation supplied.
  • No website copy should be read as a guarantee about health outcomes or water safety.

Whole-home vs. reverse osmosis

Two different jobs, one coordinated recommendation.

Whole-home treatment

Aimed at hardness, scale, household water quality, fixtures and appliances. The system is installed near the point of entry, with softening and carbon treatment depending on the final configuration supplied.

Reverse osmosis drinking water

Dedicated drinking-water treatment at the kitchen faucet. RO uses a finer membrane-based process with sediment and carbon prefiltration plus post-treatment stages for drinking and cooking water.

Specifications reflect equipment specifications and manufacturer ratings. Actual results depend on your incoming water, plumbing configuration, household usage and the equipment specified in your written quote.
